Thanet Earth wins Net Zero Impact Award at the FPC Fresh Awards

We’re delighted to share that we won the Net Zero Impact Award at the FPJ Awards on 26th September in London🌍✨

The award was accepted by Rob James, Technical Director, after a detailed submission of the big steps we’ve taken to progress towards Net Zero. Thank you to Adam Harrison, our Environmental and Sustainability Technologist for the work invested in both sustainability at Thanet Earth, and the submission itself.

The FPJ Awards are all about celebrating innovation and excellence across the UK fresh produce industry, so receiving this recognition for our sustainability journey means a lot to us.

At Thanet Earth, we’ve invested over £12 million in projects designed to cut emissions and improve resource efficiency; from generating renewable energy on-site and switching all our vehicles to HVO fuel, to pioneering fully controllable LED lighting in our glasshouses and achieving our SBTi emissions reduction target ahead of schedule.

This award highlights not just what we’ve achieved so far, but also the opportunity for the wider fresh produce industry to embrace scalable, practical solutions that deliver real impact for people, the planet, and the future of sustainable food. 🌱🍅

A huge thank you to our brilliant team, our partners, and the FPJ Awards for recognising the importance of driving change together. 🙌
