Can I visit Thanet Earth?
We’re often asked if people can come and visit Thanet Earth to find out more about what we do. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible. Our site has to be a closed environment – the greenhouses are very busy places which have to be closed to visitors for reasons of pest and disease control – with hundreds of thousands of plants in each greenhouse the potential losses are too great.
We have planning permission for a visitor centre which is still very much at a drawing board stage, but which we expect will include a demonstration greenhouse. We’ll announce more about this once plans become more established.

Do you give talks to groups?
We have a limited capacity to provide talks about Thanet Earth and our operations to local groups. It is fair to say that interest and demand for these talks has been exceptional. We very much regret that our capacity for talks in 2011 and 2012 has now been reached, with more than 75 speaking engagements in the diary in the Thanet area alone.
