With such a big site and such a big investment (it's costing over £80 million to get Thanet Earth operational), you may not be surprised to learn that there are a number of partners involved at Thanet Earth.
The UK's largest privately-owned fresh produce supplier, Fresca Group Ltd, has a 50% stake in the business. This project has long been an ambition of the Group, and it's only really through a company of the size and scale of Fresca that Thanet Earth could be more than an ambition.
The remaining 50% of the business is owned by three salad growing specialist companies – Kaaij Greenhouses UK Ltd, Rainbow Growers and A&A. Each will be operating glasshouses on the site, growing either tomatoes, peppers or cucumbers.
